Improve Your Smile, Regain Confidence and Comfort with Full-arch Implants
When you have missing teeth, you may feel self-conscious and even embarrassed when you smile.
It’s hard to feel confident when you’re missing teeth, and it can be tough to eat the foods you love. Not to mention, smiling can be a challenge. The old ways of replacing teeth, like dentures, dental bridges, and crowns, are often unpleasant, inconvenient, and require a lot of work.
Full arch implant restoration is a technique that restores a full arch of missing teeth by precisely placing 4 to 6 titanium implants in the jaw bone. Your dentist will create a set of permanent or removable dentures that clip onto the implants after they have been inserted and the area has healed. These act as anchors for a full dental bridge of artificial teeth, which can provide complete tooth replacement. With this treatment, you’ll be able to smile with confidence again in no time!

Cost of full-arch implants
When will you need a bone grafting procedure for full-arch implants?
Is full-arch implant procedure safe?
Dental implants are a long-term alternative for restoring lost teeth, with full-arch implants being the best option for replacing entire rows of teeth in the mouth. Many people are choosing them over other treatments like dentures and bridges.
It is considered that full-arch implants are reliable and have a high rate of success. Many patients experience good results with the treatment, which is a positive thing. However, as with any medical procedure, there are some risks associated with this procedure:
- Risk of infection
- Implant failure
- Allergy reaction or body rejection.
At Prospect Road Dental, our dentists are updated with the latest information and attend training regarding dental implant procedures. This allows us to deliver safe and efficient full-arch implants and other services.
What to expect during a full-arch implant procedure?
Following the initial consultation, your dentist will perform various evaluations to determine whether you are a good candidate for full-arch dental implants and will design a treatment plan based on your specific needs. A full dental checkup will include assessing the condition of your teeth, indications of bone loss, obtaining X-rays and 3D photos, and creating models of your teeth and jaw.
- Implants can then be placed in a separate appointment that involves oral surgery. An entire arch of teeth can be supported by just four dental implants.
- A full mouth of replacement teeth would require inserting four implants in the upper jaw and four in the lower jaw, for a total of eight implants. In general, the number of implants per arch ranges from 4-6.
- Immediately following surgery, temporary prosthetic teeth are placed. Then, in the meantime, we will wait for the surgical area to heal and the osseointegration process to be successful. Typically, it will take about 10 to 15 weeks.
- We will take impressions for your final prosthesis after your wounds from surgery have healed. A few weeks later, you will be able to try on your final bridge to ensure that it fits comfortably and that the bite is correct. When the permanent bridge is done, the temporary bridge is removed and the new, beautiful bridge is put in its place.
How to take care of full-arch Implants?
Brush your teeth twice a day. Like natural teeth, your dental bridge may accumulate plaque and tartar. A soft-bristled toothbrush is required to brush your dental implant bridge twice a day. It is important to protect your gum tissue and dental implants from cavities while also protecting your bridge from damage.
Use non-abrasive toothpaste. Brushing your teeth twice a day with the right toothpaste is essential. Ask your dentist about toothpaste that is suitable for implants.
Floss daily. Use a water flosser or dental floss to remove food debris from between your bridge of teeth and your gumline. This prevents plaque from hardening into tartar and removes bacteria that may infect gums around dental implants. Adding a rubber-tipped stimulator or sulcus brush to your oral hygiene routine may help.
Dental appointments. Routine dental checkups can help to make sure your full-arch implants can survive for longer periods of time. If you notice your gums are tender or swollen, contact your dentist right away.
